So, you’re trying to figure out what Ktown.ca is all about huh? Well the way it all got started was a friend complained that she couldn’t find a single source of information online or offline that could tell her what was going on in Kingston on a given night of the week. She had to grab a couple of newspapers, make a couple phone calls and visit a couple local websites that were rarely updated. Seems like a lot of work to try and go out for the evening and have fun, no?

I gave it some thought, did a little planning and came up with what I think is a pretty good idea for a site. I want to offer the businesses, event planners and promoters a place to tell everyone about the fun things they have going on in the area. The best part about it all is that there is no charge to them for the service! They send me the info, I post it, you read about it and then plan your week accordingly.

Along with this, I want to do my best to keep you up to date with all the POSITIVE things that are going on in the area. Kingston is such a great place but I think people here get bogged down with a lot of negative stories and I don’t want to be a part of that.
